Integration Methodology
Designing complex high availibility systems and data integration implementations requires a very specialized development methodology. 4Points Technologies has enhanced the typical spiral/rapid development approach to encompass all aspects and issues integration projects. This ensures that nothing falls between the cracks and all deliverables are met with the highest quality possible. This hybrid development methodology has evolved over the course of numerous integration projects and is now flexible enough to be used for most HA and DI projects. At a minimum, this highly specialized methodology will be the basis of any High Availability, Data Integration or Directory Integration project that is undertaken by 4Points.
As part of our success, 4Points generates very early prototypes to:
4 help refine customer requirements
4 identify data irregularities (dirty data)
4 to set the technical stage for rapid development and implementation
As can be seen from the figure below, this hybrid methodology is based on a spiral approach with roots in the OO/RUP world. However, it has been highly tuned to reflect the needed elements of complex integration projects. Following this methodology around the spiral you will encounter the following phases:
1. Initial Assessment
2. High-Level Requirements/Prototyping
3. Early Code and Test
4. Requirements
5. Design
6. Code and Test
7. System Test and Acceptance
8. Implementation
